2. Ballet

If your child is in ballet, the costume can be used for recitals, presentations or for regular studio training. The wings can be removed from the costume making a nice little outfit for ballet. If you ever seen a ballet presentation you, can kind of visualize the similarities between the ballet costume and fairy costume.

3. Halloween

Of course there is the holiday of Halloween. This is probably the main reason you decided to make the purchase. Again you can use the costume more than once. If your child has a Halloween party at school, they can wear it to school and also for any other Halloween gathering. There are a lot of events that happen the week of Halloween. This costume can be used for all the fun.

4. Christmas

Christmas is an interesting holiday. It has a little of everything in it. A fairy costume can easily be converted into a beautiful “snow fairy costume” for Christmas. Converting the costume is easy if you purchased the costume in the color of white. Other colors are OK, but white makes the costume look more like Christmas.

Once Halloween is over, it is time to make a few alterations. Add a little more fluff to the costume. This is done by adding white ruffles around the arms, waist and collar. Decorate the wings with lots of white lace and fluffy stuffing material to give a snowy, wintery look to them. The stuffing material is the same used to stuff teddy bears. It looks a lot like snow. Be careful not to overdo it with the stuffing or the wings will look clumpy instead of wintery.

With these simple tips you can make full use of your Halloween investment. Once your child grows out of the costume, it will make for a very nice “hand me down” or donation to a child’s organization.
